Working with a University’s in-house team

I recently undertook a secondment at a university in Canberra. The MV team proposed a senior position that could use my commercial skill set and pragmatic approach. They had clearly thought about the position and the type of candidate required for the role as there was a seamless transition when I arrived on campus. I appreciated the change in the environment to a large organisation with a myriad of different legal issues to resolve. The opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team on large matters made a good contrast with private law firm work. MV handled all of the administrative sides of the secondment. This left me free to concentrate on the client’s needs.
