Supporting Our Community

Each financial year staff within our firm elect a local charity or community group to champion. Our focus is on not-for-profit organisations or community groups that operate in the Canberra region.  The charity elected by our staff for the 2017 -18 financial year is The Fly Program.

The Fly Program is a support network of people and resources designed to assist Australian men to find a release and increase their quality of life, whether directly, or indirectly touched by the threads of mental illness and instituting a new outlet – participation in the natural world as a reprieve from the day-to-day challenges too many men face in our community.

Meyer Vandenberg's chosen charity for 2016 - 17 was The Tara Costigan Foundation.

For the 2015 -16 financial year was CanTeen (ACT and Southern NSW) and for 2014 - 15 was Karinya House. In 2013 - 14 our charity was the RSPCA ACT.  Meyer Vandenberg’s chosen charity for 2012 - 13 was 'Paediatrics at the Canberra Hospital', or 'PatCH'Galilee Foster Care,OzHarvest and Sid and Kids ACT are examples of local charities we have supported prior to 2012.

Our firm takes a holistic approach to supporting our community, by making charitable donations as well as by encouraging staff to undertake volunteer work and support fundraising events.

In addition to our charitable work, we are significantly involved in the community in a number of ways.  We sponsor the ACT Budget Breakfast, and host meetings for the Canberra Business Chamber.  We are also closely associated with organisations such as the Master Builders Association of the ACT, The Housing Industry Association Ltd, and Property Council of Australia. Our firm is dedicated to positively contributing to all aspects of our community.
